The routine
Three steps, start to finish
Every Bronze Body topical routine is the same shape, whichever formula you pick.
Patch test
Apply a small amount to a discreet area at least 24 hours before your first full application.
Do not use the product if that area becomes irritated, swollen or persistently uncomfortable. Check the full ingredient list before use.
Prepare with the gel
Apply the Pre-Tan Gel evenly to clean, dry skin, following the directions on its own label.
The lightweight formula is designed to moisturise and condition skin as part of your preparation. Avoid the eyes, face, sensitive areas and broken skin, and wash your hands afterwards.
Condition with the cream
Apply the Tan Extender according to its own label.
The richer cream helps keep skin feeling moisturised, conditioned and smooth. Available in the same tingle and non-tingle formulas as the gel.
Sunscreen is not optional
Bronze Body gels and creams contain no sunscreen and give you no protection from ultraviolet radiation.
- Use an appropriate sunscreen and follow the directions on that product.
- Avoid excessive UV exposure.
- Never stay exposed for longer simply because you have applied a tanning product.

Tingle or non-tingle?
Same two products, same two steps. The only difference is how the formula feels on your skin.

What they do, and what they don't
What they do
The pre-tan gel is a lightweight topical texture that helps moisturise and condition. The tan extender is a rich moisturising cream that helps condition dry-feeling skin. Both come in tingle and non-tingle, and both are intended for external use.
What they don't
They do not replace sunscreen and do not provide UV protection. They should not be applied to broken or irritated skin, or used contrary to their individual labels. Do not assume instant self-tan colour unless the individual product page states it.
Tingle safety
Tingle formulas may produce an intense warming, tingling or temporary reddening sensation. This is not the right range for everyone.
- Do not apply to the face or around the eyes.
- Do not apply to sensitive areas, or to broken or irritated skin.
- Do not apply immediately after shaving, waxing or exfoliating.
- Wash your hands thoroughly after applying.
- Stop using the product if irritation becomes excessive or persists.
About INTENSIFY NO.3
A separate product. A separate purpose.
INTENSIFY NO.3 is not part of the topical tanning routine described on this page.
It is a pre-prepared Melanotan II solution supplied exclusively for controlled laboratory and analytical research.
